Housing - Timeshare (Case 2)
Problem

In a single afternoon, James Parkin’s holiday in Fuengirola, Spain, was ruined by touts working for Rockwell International. They misled him into buying a week’s time-share in the middle of winter. He had already parted with £ 1,000 and agreed to pay a further £4,OOO before he realised what he had agreed to.

Solution

With the help of the Timeshare Helpline, he has since recovered £ 650 through Visa and nullified the agreement, despite receiving threatening letters from Rockwell. ‘Nothing was as it seemed. You don’t get time to think about what you are doing’, said James.
