Carolyn and Richard Selfe were in Alcudia when Atlas Balear sold them a time-share at the Garden Lago resort. They were told that if they remortgaged their home in Ebbw Vale through the Mortgage Advice Centre, their mortgage would be reduced and they would have a week’s time-share effectively for free. Back at home, the Selfes found they had been misled and would actually be paying £12,000 for the time-share. |

They cancelled the mortgage agreement but were told they couldn’t cancel the time-share. They have so far failed to reclaim the £987 deposit. |
