The Contract

a) Taking out the contract

To do this, the corresponding contract must be formalised on the premises of the Car-hire Company. Such premises include the company offices or branches, or any other outlets which they may have in hotels, travel agencies, tourist complexes or similar centres, which are duly identified and authorised.

Before signing the contract, look closely at the conditions and make sure that they include what you require.

b) Contents of the contract

The contract must contain:

	The name, address and tax number or code of the hire company and the person who is renting the vehicle.
	Period of duration of contract.
	Registration number of vehicle hired and its characteristics.
	The number of the rent authorisation guaranteeing the contract and the authority responsible.
	All agreements and conditions which are freely established by both sides.

One copy of the contract must always be carried in the vehicle.
