If you are involved in a traffic accident, you must first go to the aid of, or request aid for, the victims. It should be borne in mind that in Spain, failure to aid persons in obvious and serious danger is severely punished. Moreover, if the person in need of aid is the victim an accident caused by the person who fails to aid him, the punishment may be as severe as two years in prison and a penalty of up to twenty-four months.
