This is one of the topics which most concerns the tourist. We shall try to outline the rights of consumers in the face of various possible circumstances, and to give some indications on how they can assert these rights. We include specific information on the following situations which the consumer might have to face:
Many consumers and customers use the services of a Travel Agent to organise their holidays and pay for a package trip. Perhaps for this reason, these are precisely the kind of organised trips which present the most problems and thus we shall examine them closely in this section. Tourists who arrrange holiday trips in their own country must be aware of the norms regulating this area and demand their fulfilment. However, some tourists arrange their holidays with Spanish agencies or, once in Spain, they use their services for trips and excursions. Because of the similarities between these two kinds of arrangement, we have decided to deal with them together in the following section. |
