Savings banks

 

These are entities which differ from banks in that they have no capital: they are obliged to dedicate part of their annual economic results to the maintenance and financing of socially beneficial activities: they do not have shareholders and thus do not share out profits.

The socially beneficial activities in which they must invest part of their funds must be related to education, culture, research, public health and social assistance services
